where plants dream
handmade herbal remedies for
times of transition & transformation
Oat Seed (aka: Milky Oat) is a plant that brings calm, deep nourishment and soothing. A nervine (supportive to the nervous system), Wild Oats are known as a rasayana in Ayurveda, which means they are rebuilding and replenishing for a depleted nervous system.
Feeding particularly the myelin sheath (the protective cocoon around the wires of our nervous system), ongoing use of Oat Seed tincture may significantly reduce jumpiness, reactivity and edginess of the nerves. In acute moments of panic, a dropper-full of tincture may dramatically soothe without side-effect.
Harvested during a short window in spring, this particular tincture comes from fields of oat seed surrounding apple orchard in West Sonoma County. The fresh oat tops were tinctured in high-grade organic grape alcohol.
INGREDIENTS: Organic Grape Alcohol, Oat Seed
DIRECTIONS: 1-2 dropperful x day or as needed
Release is a formula to support the letting go of emotions or habits that are no longer serving. It is particularly potent and supportive during times of transformation and transition. It helps to remind us that our wounds are often the source of our unique medicine for the world. It is called for when a deep re-organizing of identity is taking place, and, thus, total surrender is required.
DIRECTIONS: Ingest 3-5 drops, up to 5 x a day. Drop under the tongue or add to tea or water. This essence can also be used topically and applied directly on the body (typically at the pulse points), added to a bath or on a pillowcase.
INGREDIENTS: Filtered Water, Artisanal Mezcal (27%), Raw Wildflower Honey, Essences of Orchid, Quartz and albino Redwood.

Aspen grow as a collective, rising from the same interconnected root system. While they appear to be individual trees, they are, in fact, a single organism. The same is true of all life on this planet. While each species and individual emerges as a distinct expression of nature, all are woven from and inextricably held within life’s tapestry.
We are bound to one another by our breath, our hunger and our love.
Flora Luna’s Aspen essence, made on October’s Harvest Moon in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Santa Fe, is a meditation on letting go. When we let go of plans, expectations or identities, we make space. In doing so, we become increasingly vulnerable, exposing our gnarled and tender bits to be witnessed. Laid bare,we sensemore deeply what welong for and invite the touch of that which longs for us.This is how new lifebegins.
“To be big, we must be bare.” -Annutara Lakshmin Naht
Autumnal Aspen reminds us not to rush, and that the process of letting go requires patience, rest and trust. In stillness there is movement. Aspens’ Goliath strength remains underground and invisible to the naked eye. So too is untold capacity that exists within each of us. Like Aspen, we carry the ability to shift great winds within and without when we align with the whole of nature’s wisdom and share our most valuable of resources: our gifts.
// This is an essence for those who feel lost or disconnected. For those who feel stuck. For those who have forgotten how to still. And, for those who, together, want to remember how to move as one. //
